About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Me and a friend are travelling through Europe this summer and we want to visit the major cities. We move by train, with two backpacks, some basic needs and an urge to learn and see as much as possible.

ABOUT ME

It's hard to describe myself, but I'll give it a try. People who only met me two or three times will probably call me a 'weird, unusual and reckless type of girl'. They'll be partly right, but this is also a first impression and it's human instinct to judge people on a first impression. The things I do, say and think are maybe risky and daring, but if you get to know me better you'll see it's just a way of life. I don't care about a good school that will get me a good job and a perfect family with a safe and sound life, I want the opposite: an adventurous and risky life, with a certain amount of adrenalline here and there, a life filled with good literature, good music and good conversations. I don't learn anything from tight schools and teachers, if I had to call someone or something my teacher it'll be life. It's that simple. I think humans are the most endangered species on our planet, and I almost feel sorry for our sad lives. But I like to think of the fact that not everyone is that ordinary and there are others to learn from and to share knowledge and art with. I also think we don't have the right to overpower and misuse animals the way we do, just to have an over expensive fur coat or exclusive meal in a fancy 5 star restaurant, afterall, they're not 'products', and that's why I am vegan. I don't want to force this upon anybody, it's just the way I think about it.

In my spare time I can be found in different places, in one of my favorite thrift shops (almost all my clothes and possessions are secondhanded), in a record store, in a book store, at a concert, at a festival, at a bar accompanied by good people, at home, reading, listening to music or making art.

Well, what else.. I love foreign food, especially from Surinam and South Africa. I just love other countries. I love the tv series 'The Young Ones', I love street artists, I always buy the Homeless Newspaper, I've entered McDonalds twice in my life, to use the bathroom, I own a simple Nokia prepaid Phone (with the oldskool Snake!), I have a bad habit of not being able to clean up anything, somehow my room always looks like a battlefield of junk but that probably has something to do with my chaotic mind.

And I LOVE Adventure Time. Period

I am also running on insulin.

PHILOSOPHY

If someone asks me what my personal philosophy is and why I live my life it would be an answer that can't be made clear in this type-box. Let's just say I live however I want, I do whatever I want and I experience it as a great way to live. This lifestyle contains zero stress.

I can write down my thoughts all night, but here's a quote that kind of says it all:

"Look at you. You're so young. And you're scared. Why are you scared? Stop being paralysed. Stop swalloing your words. Stop caring what other people think. Wear what you want. Say what you want. Listen to music you want to listen to. Play it loud as f*ck and dance to it. Go out for a drive at midnight and forget that you have school the next day. Stop waiting for Friday. Live now. Do it now. Take risks. Tell secrets. This life is yours. when are you going to realise that you can do whatever you want?"

Music, Movies, and Books

This list will be a never ending list, because I'll Always be interested in these things, but here's a little info: my love for music is BIG. There are too many bands and artists to list here, but here are some of them: Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Nirvana, Jeff Buckley, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Black Sabbath, Mother Love Bone, Pantera, The Who, Sonic Youth, Samsara Blues Experiment, ZZ Top, Radiohead, John Coffey, Navarone, Mudhoney, Joy Division, Nine Inch Nails, The Smashing Pumpkins, Blind Melon, Zodiac, Metallica, Phill Anselmo & the Illegals, Stone Temple Pilots, Neil Young, Red Hot Chili Peppers, L7, Creed, ASG, Down, Screaming Trees, The Doors, Mad Season, Temple Of The Dog, Black Flag, Fugazi, Therapy!, R.E.M., Nick Cave, Rage Against The Machine, The Ramones, Deep Purple, Patti Smith, The Smiths, David Bowie, Pink Floyd.. and more.

Literature is another thing that I enjoy a lot, George Orwell, Daniel Quinn, Edgar Allan Poe, Franz Kafka, John Steinbeck, Fjodor Dostojevski, Charles Dickens, Timothy Leary, Stephen King, Roald Dahl, Arthur Rimbaud, Graham Greene, John Grisham.. They're work is just soothing for my own thoughts. Thank what's-his-name for these kinds of people.

My most favorite book ever is Ishmael by Daniel Quinn. If it wasn't for Pearl Jam I would have never heard of it.

Movies are a challenge for the mind, because they can leave you awake all night with nothing but your busy brain. I love Tim Burton, he is also one of my favorite artists on canvas (movies are his second talent, check out his paintings). I love movies like The Shining, Psycho (the Original from '65), Requiem For A Dream, everything by the Coen brothers or Stanley Kubrick, A Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy, Eraserhead, Fight Club, Se7en, Donnie Darko, Into The Wild, A Clock Work Orange, The Road, Shutter Island, Biutiful, As It Is In Heaven, American History X, V for Vendetta.. again, never ending list.

There's one movie of which I know the whole script:

'Tenacious D in: The Pick Of Destiny'

Not the greatest movie in the world, just a tribute.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hmm, not sure.. I dreamed of an alien once. It was one amazing thing to see.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn all the great and interesting things that others can tell me, and I want to teach others all that I have to tell. I can talk endlessly about music, art and life. I just love it.
