Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hadn't heard of Couch Surfing until a friend in Austin was hosting some and we took them out for a night on the town. Ultimately he became my roommate and one set of couch surfers convinced me to make a profile of my own.

Interests

I love coffee, wine, and whiskey. I am a legitimate nature lover and like being outdoors whether it be running, hiking, paddle-boarding, whatever. Dancing and yoga are also two things I enjoy a lot. I like good music of all varieties ranging from hip-hop to the blues and jazz and folk. Avid reader, writer, and collector of rocks.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies are cool but I have a hard time retaining the content. There is no rhyme or reason to the movies I do like, which range from odd films such as Like Water for Chocolate to classics such as Old School and Step Brothers. Documentaries are cool too.

My taste in music is equally as eclectic. My favorite artists are The Roots, A Tribe Called Quest, Neil Young, Sarah Vaughn, and Lightnin' Hopkins.

Books are fucking awesome, and I read all the time. I like to read everything from textbooks to African American Literature from the 1920's to anthropological case studies, poetry, gonzo literature, whatever. My favorite authors include Huxley, Kerouac, Bukowski, Hunter S Thompson, Ken Kesey, Henry Miller, Langston Hughes and Jamie Sams.
