ABOUT ME

oh boy. I really dislike these things. Talk to me if you want to know me! But here goes... I am a nature nut. Way more comfortable in the woods than city. Traveling the world is a dream not yet pursued- life has been in the way for some time- but soon to be changed. I climb, hike, sleep on the ground, make jewelry, study parks and people, teach kids about our ecosystem and home, garden, eat veggies, umm.... drink beer, snowboard, and am the queen of gutter jokes. But only once you get to know me. :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Just joined CSing. I would love host and meet travelers visiting SLC. I would be more into showing you around the natural spaces of SLC than city landmarks,going hiking, climbing too! Anyway, I also plan on traveling extensively in a year or two, so making connections now seems like the way to go!

Countdown to world trip!! Leaving for AU in January! Woo hoo!

I think i covered this above... but in general.... I'm interested in what makes life more interesting. Whatever that may be. Things that have and/or continue to interest me (other than anything to do with outdoors..) climbing, snowboarding, painting, making things! Canyoneering, wandering, swimming, jumping off cliffs, bouldering, baking, cooking, EATING. :) This list could go on forever. In sum.. I'm interested in LIFE.

Is it obvious that I like Tom Robbins? hah. I love music and books. Movies- eh. TV is a distraction from life. And I can't start listing music and books because I wouldn't know where to stop. :)

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

nature amazes me everyday. its the little things. Climbing amazes me. Standing on the top of a 400' tower in the desert 1600' above the valley was pretty amazing. Seeing a comet from horizon to horizon in Southern Utah desert. Narrowly escaping a flash flood...Listening to coyotes call at the full moon as it rises. Feeling the connection between horse and rider as you're charging a trail. Breathing. Meeting someone you feel like you have known for years...

Lehren, lernen, teilen

Always! and for all of life. I can teach rock climbing, basic local ecology, jewelry wire wrapping... I'd love to share/ discuss life philosophies, share in art, photography, going climbing, hiking, cooking ( I've got some good recipes I can teach, and I always love learning new ones.) I'm open to learning!! I'd love to get better at French or start learning other languages.. and learning in general- all learning is valuable! :)
