One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My most memorable travel experience:

It was a cold 5 degree celsius night in the middle of Winter at the Szechenyi thermal baths in Budapest, Hungary. We were with great company, the steam was rising from the natural springs and off of our bodies. The light was dim but the water perfectly hot. As the conversation in the group slowly trailed off, one by one, little snowflakes started to appear and descend on us instantly melting on our heated bodies. And before too long the night sky was speckled with snowflakes; the flakes raced to meet us and the near boiling water, and the steam from the baths shot up to lick and catch the flakes one by one. We looked wistfully at each other, and then at our surroundings, and we were in awe.
It. Was. Perfection.
