ABOUT ME

I grew up in the sticks in rural Alberta... And while that was a unique experience for sure - I've now lived in cities for almost 20 years.

I've recently realized that my life is too busy, and that I wanted to have a calmer life and feel more of a sense of community with people around me...

So, I gave notice at my job, bought my dream car, and am going to spend the next while driving all over Canada and working on farms for a while!

I'm looking forward to doing physical work, working closely with other people, and really working with my hands again.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is inherently insecure and if you live your life trying to create an illusion of security for yourself, you end up living from a place of fear rather than openness.

Once you realize and accept that life is inherently uncertain and insecure, it's completely freeing and you can begin to start living your life the way you want.

You only live once, do it right!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've not done couchsurfing before - but my friends cannot say enough good things about it! Over the past year or two I've used AirBnB a lot and I've LOVED it - so much more enjoyable than staying in a standard hotel.

What I've loved about Airbnb so far has been meeting and getting to know the people I stay with - and I hope I get to experience the same thing with couchsurifing!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The first time I took my dream car (a 1990 Ford Mustang LX 5.0 convertible) tearing down the highway with the top down, and a sunny blue sky above me!

It was, I swear, a spiritual experience for me! Lol
