ABOUT ME

My name is Essi, I'm 26 years old from tel aviv, Israel. I'm a dance composition teacher and an independent choreographer.I finished my studies in Theater- Dance last year and now, aside from teaching, I work in a book store in the mornings, which is great for me to be surrounded by books and reminds me of my childhood. I love all kind of arts and I'm usually very excited about new things. I love to travel and get to know new places, new cultures and new habits and people. Somehow I didn't get to do it for a long time and I really hope to get to travel a bit this summer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I actually very new to the whole Couchsurfing thing. I first heard about it a few years ago and thought i was very cool and then my sister went to Greece and had a really nice experience there. And now, as I'm going to travel to Spain this summer I thought it will be fun to try it.

Interests

My interests include dancing, yoga, Pilates, singing (I used to take voice lessons and I really miss it now), reading, movies (I especially love Almodovar movies), fashion, styling (I can look at magazines in the store for hours).

Music, Movies, and Books

I looove movies. On my last year in high school I had a membership card to the Cinema place in Jerusalem, I went almost every day, sometimes to more than one movie. I kept the tickets and counted them at the end of the year- there were about 70....
Some of my favorite movies: "Eternal Sunshine on the Spotless Mind", "Al About my Mother" and actually every movie by Almodovar, "Cinema Paradiso", "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon".

Books I love: "Norwegian Wood" and "Kafka on the Shore" by Haruki Murakami, "The Sun also Rises" by Earnest Hemingway, "The Great Gatsby" which I read now and enjoy a lot.

Music: Leonard Cohen is defiantly my favorite Singer- Songwriter. I also love Bjork, Antony and the Johnson, Rufus Wainwright and Beyonce :)
