About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see what the man is all about... and have some fun investigating

ABOUT ME

I live somewhere between an attempt to be honest with myself and completely practical and attempting to never grow up.

PHILOSOPHY

Just to live. Which is to say that I end up needing "purpose" in life, until I get annoyed with myself for forgetting to watch the rain fall from the sky.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At this point i only participate by being a part of it, hosting people or giving them advice... maybe more hands on in the future.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Whistler - fresh powder all day and pissed all night before crashing on my corner carpet couch behind the dinning room table because I couldn't make it upstairs... And then doing it all over again the next day.

Interests

deeply passionate about music, skiing, and thinking.

  • traveling
  • music
  • camping
  • skiing

Music, Movies, and Books

Atmosphere (need i say more), Talib Kweli, The Roots (before they went all P. Diddy on me), DJ Shadow, RJD2, Ani DiFranco (don't lie you love her too), The Stripes, Patti Scialfa, Johnny Cash, and Springsteen

Greatest books ever - Ender's Game, The Hobbit (really the whole series but the Hobbit has a special quality the rest don't), The Beach, The Count of Monte Cristo, and The Dispossessed.

Movies - Eternal Sunshine (still processing Science of Sleep), American Beauty, The Replacements, Walk The Line (those are the ones that come to mind)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living at Mt. Everest Base Camp. It is a completely different world filled with a class of people i couldn't hope to understand without meeting them.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn why other people travel? I can share my own thoughts, I am not sure what i have to teach.

Countries I’ve Visited

China, Israel, Mexico, Pakistan

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
