I have yet to determine my purpose in life. In the meantime, I am going to provide value to others to find my own passion.

ABOUT ME

I'm only 18 years of age, not yet ripe to experience the world for its fullest, but I will not let that hold me down. I tend to use logic rather than my emotions, but this strength can also be my weakness. I hope to grow so that I can use my head as well as my heart.

PHILOSOPHY

I have realized that one of the most important things is balance. Usually extremes of situations are not what you want. This implies that a standard "yes" or "no" answer is not necessarily what you want since it avoids all the possible shades of grey in between. Thus, one needs to ponder beyond the binary answers.

Interests

My interests lie in economics and mathematics. I plan to major in statistics since it has a more applied focus as I don't derive as great pleasure from purely theoretical concepts.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think my most meaningful contribution to society was when I helped an ex-dealer in his college studies. We spent hours on the phone learning economics and mathematics together. I felt that I left a lasting impression on him as he is doing really well at community college and is aspiring to attend UC Berkeley where I study.

Teach, Learn, Share

Currently, I am working with a great team of social entrepreneurs creating usPercent, a brand promoting sustainability and equity, and Crowd4all, an educational game to help unemployed people find paid work. I hope to be able to change people's lives through these ventures where people will receive real value that they can enjoy for years to come.
