À propos de moi

CURRENT MISSION

still searching and enjoying

ABOUT ME

Katalin Juhász:
I love travelling, exploring and being inspired. I love giving and receiving, dancing and being still. I love the theatre, the stage and the freedom. I love the people, the nature and the art. I love my family, my 2 kids and my husband.

I am generally more enthusiastic, talkative, assertive, and gregarious in social situations than my husband.

As a dancer I traveled a lot. Since 2007 I've settled down, I stopped the every week travelling and I live and work at Budapest.

I had not an ordinary dancer carrier. Ice-skated in my childhood and later studied classical ballet and modern dance. From 1989 after the iron-curtain fell down I was hitch-hiking around Europe several times having always very good experiences, meeting nice people.
I appeared on stage in Budapest, dancing in musicals at the same time as graduating as a doctor from Medical University.
I studied classical and Graham technique in Columbus, Ohio in the United States in 1992. Became familiar with contemporary dance on the Tanzwochen in Vienna and during scholarships in Paris and at the Centre National de la Danse Contemporaine in Angers.
In 1998 I became a dancer of the French-Hungarian Pal Frenak Company and I was dancing the repertory of it until 2006. I have been teaching dance anatomy and contemporary dance since 1996 all over Hungary and in several countries: Japan, Germany, France, and Russia. I am a Pilates (BASI) teacher as well. I was touring with my own choreographic works in Skopje, Cairo, Warsaw, Szczecin and Gdansk.

Tamás Lóky:
He is an open-minded, shy person. He chooses solitary over social activities by preference. He is an archetypal artist or an inventor type. He better enjoy interactions with a small group of close friends. Trust is usually an issue of him. He has good social skills, but he is more concerned with the inner world of the mind. He enjoys thinking, exploring his thoughts and feelings.

He studied Hungarian linguistics and literature, cinematography, aesthetics and theory of literature at ELTE University of Arts and Sciences, Faculty of Humanities, Budapest.
He speaks Polish, because he studied as well polish linguistics and literature at ELTE University of Arts and Sciences, Faculty of Humanities, Budapest and at Jagiello University Krakow.
He has an MA in cultural management. He is writing his PhD. thesis on interdisciplinary art initiatives, practices and theoretical approaches in the course of history (a diachronic comparative investigation of theoretical works on how to coordinate/ harmonize different branches of art while they are expected to operate together) at the department of comparative history of literature at ELTE.
He published several reviews and translations from Polish and French in periodicals and anthologies.
He worked as copywriter, professional translator and proof-reader, communications advisor, art manager.
He is currently managing director of SÍN Arts and Culture Ltd. He organised exhibitions, festivals and other thematic total art events in Hungary and abroad programming international theatre and dance performances, site specific performances, graphic and plastic art exhibitions, video installations, screenings, concerts etc. He managed tours of Hungarian dance companies into Slovakia, Czech Republic, Poland Germany, Slovenia, Serbia, Austria, Egypt.

PHILOSOPHY

1 There is a time for everything.
There's a time for everything that is done on earth.
2 There is a time to be born.
And there's a time to die.
There is a time to plant.
And there's a time to pull up what is planted.
3 There is a time to kill.
And there's a time to heal.
There is a time to tear down.
And there's a time to build up.
4 There is a time to cry.
And there's a time to laugh.
There is a time to be sad.
And there's a time to dance.
5 There is a time to scatter stones.
And there's a time to gather them.
There is a time to hug.
And there's a time not to hug.
6 There is a time to search.
And there's a time to stop searching.
There is a time to keep.
And there's a time to throw away.
7 There is a time to tear.
And there's a time to mend.
There is a time to be silent.
And there's a time to speak.
8 There is a time to love.
And there's a time to hate.
There is a time for war.
And there's a time for peace.
