About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Publish my first novel: "The Anphora and the River", "Europe and the River"... what to call it? And start a project related to it, the "HomeBy2050" Project

ABOUT ME

I'm interested in the good things that live has brought to my attention, such as friendship, writing, travelling, sustainability, good food, laughing, staring at the sunset...

PHILOSOPHY

Be curious about what is happening around. Never stay still, always have a reason to walk looking at the landscape. I love people who prefer walking than taking taxis, no matter how far or late at night it is. Sleep is usually better after it. I value altruism above everything. There is always a reason to do things, even if doesn't happen instantaneously, it will happen.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to connect with people who share my same interests, I especially appreciate stories from Africa where it seems always heading towards... :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I spent a week in Copenhagen and a week in Malmo staying in CoachSurfing people's places during last year's climate conference. Then when I lived in Cape Town during the spring I met all my new friends through this, and had an amazing time. CS rocks! And it has been great in Edinburgh also, to go to Ceilidhs and meet yet more people! I have been hosting people in Edinburgh.

Interests

I spend time learning to play the violin, reading about behaviour change, buying good food, preparing too many trips, and fantasizing about which is the best restaurant next door. I have recently discovered I love the Scottish National Museum.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

Live in a desert peninsula in Mozambique for a week. Get to know a local fisherman and get him to boat us back to the mainland every three days for food supplies! Camp in tents, be afraid of the police, walk for the whole day, dig safe holes, swim in the empty sea, in the empty beach, drink coconut milk, fall assleep under the Southern Milky Way, with the Southern Cross above the horizon...

Teach, Learn, Share

Get to know the world in 3 dimensions, starting with one's own, then sharing it into the whole thing.

Countries I've Visited

Mozambique, Namibia, Norway, Slovenia, Turkey

Countries I've Lived In

Belgium, Czech Republic, Madagascar, South Africa, Swaziland, United Kingdom
