Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

In 2008, we plan on seeing as much as we can with still being able to with hold our jobs. Still have bills to pay.

We look forward to meeting interesting people in even more interesting countries. We all work a lot and have many responsibilities so travel time is far in between and often short. We hope that couch surfing with help find locals that can be helpful to us by differentiating what is the best way to spend my time in foreign countries, as well as a place to stay. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most amazing out of country experience was when we were in Costa Rica. This was after a long surf session on the outside break . When we came back to shore we were collecting puka shells to create jewelry later when we would come back to the states. There was this unbelievable mini beach break, maybe 1-2 ft tall, which would wash up and down the rounded shells that made up the beach. We somehow discovered that if you just lied on your back and relaxed, the waves would gently push you in and out such as in a very large crib. We did this probably for 45min but we could have remained there much longer. It was by far the most unbelievable experience I have had in the ocean. This was incomparable to anything I had previously done and we still reference it all the time when in each others company. It was almost like the ocean was rocking us into complete relaxation.

A bonus, when we finally decided to leave, we found the continual washing up on shore left out skin extremely exfoliated!
