Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I like meeting strangers and have been on the receiving end of some random acts of kindness in my life and I love to help out a stranger whenever I can.
ABOUT ME
I worked from the bottom up filling this out. There should be plenty to get about me from all this...
But, I like people and I like to laugh... at myself usually. Life can be a pretty good time.
PHILOSOPHY
Just go with the flow, I guess. I am where I am and I love most every minute of it. But, I could never tell you how I got here. It just kind of happened. But, I am here and I like to help people out.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have shared the bed of many a stranger. I live off the well traveled path; Albany is not quite the haven of travelers that Chicago was. I would still love the opportunity to provide help to someone in a way many have done for me before.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've just recently found CouchSurfer and I think it's a great opportunity to find some place to stay BEFORE you land. However, I have still had my fair share of sleeping on stranger's couches while I'm traveling on the cheap and I'd love to pass on those opportunities to others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Being in Barcelona when Spain won the Euro cup in 2012 was the most amazing human bonding experience I have ever had the pleasure of partaking. Although the language barrier was often problematic (my spanish is really only passable in slow, simple phrases), I was able to share in the joy of an entire nation and have never felt so welcome, so far from home in my life. Amazing experience. Brazil 2014 is next on my list, if I can manage to save enough from my measly grad student checks.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am passionate about many things and love to teach people about them. But, I equally love to learn from people who are passionate about their own interests. I love to cook almost as much as I love to eat, and would spend most of my days eating with people if there were a way to make a living doing so. I also dabble in writing, but mostly for the satisfaction of creating something from nothing. I do not consider myself especially gifted. I would love to learn anything, and I'll hopefully pick it up and pass it onto someone else. Wouldn't that be neat?
