À propos de moi

CURRENT MISSION

To enjoy every aspect of life, to learn from people, connect, share experiences and to share love in every moment.

ABOUT ME

I'm an Indian classical dancer/ performer by night (and bellydancer) and a language and dance teacher by day. I work with kids and women and love sharing the power of movement, music, expression and fun to inspire others to express themselves loud and without apologies! I was born in Kuwait and moved around a lot in the Persian Gulf, moving to USA, Brazil and now to Mexico. I live in the Mayan community learning the language, working within the community, learning their ways of the land, and learning Mayan spiritual practices.

I have changed quite a bit in traveling and living in different countries but I remain the same - starry eyed and in wonder at the beauty of life, of nature, of human kindness and all types of connections. I love learning about people and hearing their stories, dancing freely, experiencing culture in every form (food and natural landscapes mostly) and following my intuition! I dance, play piano (or used to) and currently live in a magical town called Merida, in Yucatan, Mexico.

I feel like life has given me the best of all adventures that I would love to share with those I meet on my travels. Some of my CS hosts and travelers have become my best friends and years later, we meet and connect still.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

The most true way of connecting to a culture is through its people and their love for their culture. I feel like I've become a more learned spirit connecting with other CSers who believe in the power of this amazing, loving, open community!

Centres d'intérêt

I spend most of my days either teaching dance, or teaching languages. I work with kids through the arts and we build connections and learn through curiosity and play. The lightheartedness of working with children brings me a lot of joy! I also love creating choreography through dance (I am a professional salsa dancer, belly dancer and an Indian classical dancer "Kathak") and lately I've been performing in events, on national tv here in mexico and in competitions. Life is beautiful here!

I love long, difficult hikes to beautiful sceneries, jumping in any body of water, sitting on top of mountains sharing a cup of hot tea with a friend, also sitting on the porch having a beautiful conversation with anyone. I love to eat and cook as well, one of my bigger passions in life. I am fascinated by people in general and continue learning through all the people I meet on CS. I wish to share everything beautiful when I can and create memories that last a lifetime!
