Why I’m on Couchsurfing
to explore this world, searching high and low for all the beautiful people in it
music, coffee and cigarettes, learning new things, tequila, nights that turn into mornings, wildflowers, the things that happen when no one is looking, dogs of any kind, horseback riding, fishing, oceans, rivers, lakes, streams, waterfalls, scary stories, sharks, believers in aliens, cat puns, face paint, wild adventures with mad people, mad adventures with wild people, whirlwind romance, reading, writing, sunshine with a side of wind, fresh fruit, and people who are also a little strange.
Music, Movies, and Books
i love horror movies the most...no matter how bad. i love science fiction. i love fantasy. i love shark movies. i love gangster movies. i love movies about natural disasters and the end of the world. i love movies that wake me up to the world, the ones that make you want to live bigger and louder.
music in most any form makes me happy. i especially love the sounds of my childhood, which, thanks to my incredible father, were the goldest of all the oldies. the beatles, dylan, zeppelin, simon & garfinkel, and van morrison make me giddy like a school girl.
i love reading, i love writing, i love books. especially these: And Then There Were None. Nine Stories. Blackbird House. East Of Eden. The Unbearable Lightness of Being. What I Loved. The Chronicles of Narnia. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. On The Road. Perks of Being a Wallflower. Star Girl. The Little Stranger.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A day trip I took alone exploring the desert of mali, getting lost in the ruins of jungle, and learning to french inhale a cigarette under the Eiffel Tower. I also recently traveled my very own country in a cape, old van with 5 of my favorite humans.
What I Can Share with Hosts
endless amounts of strangers-turned-friends who've housed me, fed me, showed me their little pieces of magic in this world, and shared their smiles with me whether planned or not... couchsurfing consistently reminds me how truly wonderful humans are and how abundant love is in this wild world.
