trying to be more like Mr. Rogers
I'm in to natural foods, bicycle riding, and motorcycle travel. If I had to choose between a world without war and a world without traffic, I'd need a few seconds to think it over.
I believe in the golden rule, and that "doing the right thing" has enormous value, if only in building one's sense of self.
I'm a very secular fella.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
There's nothing like hospitality, right? The experience of being invited in to somebody's home and immediately treated like family is pretty amazing.
I met a couchsurfing veteran while traveling in South America in 2010 and got hip. I've surfed on a few motorcycle trips around the region, and I host periodically, as my schedule allows.
My overall couchsurfing experience has been nothing but perfect! All of my guests and hosts have been amazing. I wish I would have learned about this earlier!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Climbed an active volcano in Chile, raced a motorcycle on the banking at Daytona.
Teach, Learn, Share
Learning is great. Most people have something to teach you if you're paying attention.
I'd love to learn how to tie useful knots!* My Spanish could use a lot of work too :).**
I probably have the most knowledge to share around motorcycle riding and fitness/nutrition.
*Update! I've been practicing, and I've learned how to tie a few good knots, including what I believe to be the most useful camping knot ever, the adjustable triple grip hitch (with a slip.) Ask me and I'll teach you!
**My Spanish is still terrible.
