About Me

ABOUT ME

Not exactly conventional, but very outgoing and friendly, at times... Just a wee bit crazy, I know something about most things you can imagine. If I don't know, I'll certainly find out! Somehow I feel I know it all at the same time as I know nothing. A sociable, intellectual, solitary clown! Hard as rocks and soft as a newborn. Tears and laughter flow so easily through me. My heart sings, I'm alive! When I meet you I expect more than the you in the mirror made by convention. Always deeper, always more! I love Mother Earth and all her doings, but not always the human beings making a living on her and of her. The latter often bore me, make me impatient... Come challenge me, be my friend! :-)

PHILOSOPHY

"To love. To be loved. To never forget your own insignificance. To never get used to the unspeakable violence and the vulgar disparity of life around you. To seek joy in the saddest places. To pursue beauty to its lair. To never simplify what is complicated or complicate what is simple. To respect strength, never power. Above all, to watch. To try and understand. To never look away. And never, never, to forget." - Arundhati Roy

Music, Movies & Books

Books I always come back to: Facts: Gregory Bateson's, Daniel E. Moorman: Native American Ethnobotany, Alan Watts's, Jack Weatherford: Indian Givers Fiction: José María Arguédas:Los ríos profundos, several of Louise Erdrich, several of Kerstin Ekman, Aldous Huxley: Island, Keri Hume:The Bone People, several of Eduardo Galeano, several of Gabriel Garcia Marquez, several of Yasar Kemal, several of Arundhati Roy, Poetry: T.S. Eliot: Four Quartets, several of Pablo Neruda, - more on the way :-)
