Hi, I'm Falk.

I'm currently studying physics in Heidelberg, Germany. After school I traveled for a while and have been to quite a few places.

My interests of course include physics and science. But life with just that can be a bit dull and mechanical. So I try to keep myself balanced in that regard and spend some time making music, meeting friends and taking walks in the nature.

I'm not that active on CS at the moment, but if you want to meet up, send me a message anyways ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I love the idea of it. Meeting new people, getting a new perspective on things and experiencing different cultures. I also like to try new activities and and share a good laugh. And I guess, thats why I'm on couchsurfing.

Interests

I like technology. Almost every aspect of it. Using it, programming, hardware, and the physics behind it.
But I am not your typical nerd and have lots of other stuff to talk about.

I like swimming and am a lifeguard here in Germany. I also tried scuba diving but there are no good places to dive here, so I stopped.

Music is also a passion of me. Although I only started playing the guitar a year ago, I always liked music and singing along.

But there is always more to a person than you can cram into words ;)

Oh, and I like cooking. And while I'm not vegetarian, I don't eat that much meat . Maybe my girlfriend infected me with that ^^
But I won't say no to barbecue.

Music, Movies, and Books

Ok, music. I want to say (almost) everything. As long as it has some nice melody and harmony.
I listen to rock, good pop, house, electro, indie... well, like I said: Genre doesn't matter.

I read way less than I'd like. But when I do, I like to educate myself with it. Scientific books about physics or the universe, philosophy and so on. But also all sorts of other books. Drama, comedy, whatever. I read Harry Potter ;)

Movies. I watch them. Sometimes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've visited Mexico for 6 weeks with 3 friends. Together we rented a car and had a great time. We climbed a mountain, saw millions of fireflies, ate great food and got some nasty sunburn. The beaches were beautiful, especially the hidden ones.

I know my way around tech. So if you've got a problem, let me know. I'll be happy to help you and maybe make you hate your laptop (or PC, router, ..) a little less.
