I'm a 33 year-old artist (photographer) working in higher education.

I tend to believe in holding doors, thanking bus drivers, riding bicycles, "session beers," renewable energy and politeness.

Interests

Photography, cycling and food take up a big chunk of my life. I'm always happy to share a beer, music and good conversation though.

Music, Movies, and Books

The Giving Tree is my favorite book ever. Other favorites may include all the short stories by Gabrielle Garcia-Marquez, Jack London (the later stuff is better than the Yukon stuff), Vonnegut, Calvino, JB Jackson, art theory, Friere, Kozol, Camus, Sartre and Ernesto Guevarra.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I taught photography in Baghdad.
