Being in the sun!
I prefer to see the world through eyes of locals, than simply as tourist from the bus!
I'm a philosophy student and nanny, born in Berlin, now living in Vienna!
I love to travel and meeting new people, exspecially, when it comes down to red-wine discussions.
I like indie-rock, but also jazz music.
im also in a great theatre group.
its hard to formulate something like a personal philosophy when you study philosophy and when you are confronted with so many ideas of living.
I would like to be in a life apart from solid ideas how you should do and see things. Sometimes ypu have to try something unusual. Of course, its not always the right way then, but at least you found out on your own. I think thats better then listening blindly to conventions and rules nobody has proved.
I, as an example, like Sartre who says, we have to give our lives our own sense. (well, thats a very easy formulation, existentialism is a bit more complicated, but a great point of view)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I can remember one day in Zurich, when my couchsurfer didnt pick up the phone and i had no place to sleep. I found a adress of another host in the internet and the street was just next to the internetcafe i was sitting in. So I went there and it was the greatest place ive ever been. I spent the night in their "cinema", a room with around 20 couches and on the next day, I had a great breakfast with my hosts.
I think this reflects exactly the sense about couchsurfing.
reading, writing, seeing, cooking, children, philosophy, drinking wine
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
visiting the blue mosque in istanbul,
drinking wine in bars in berlin,
sitting in the old cafes in vienna
