ABOUT ME

hi, heres the part where i tell everyone about me. how do you capture that? without making it sound like a personal ad, here's my story.

having spent the majority of my life in my own country and going about my life as everybody else, i decided in april 2010 to take a raincheck on reality and leave that life behind and travel. My plan was to go from the USA to Argentina. pretty simple, start in one place and head south.

well a year has gone by and i've managed to visit 1 country, Mexico, hoorah, and there's still more of it i haven't seen. thats fine as i've decided to live my life at my own pace.

i have adopted mexico as my home and i plan to live here for some time. i spend much of my time studying spanish and travelling. although im not mexican i can offer a foreigners experience of living in mexico that may appeal to some travellers. i have plenty of spare time and can help with showing you around my current city of guadalajara. The city is the second biggest after mexico city and has plenty of cultural, artistic and historical activities to explore. Mariachi, lucha libre, salsa, cafes, bars and clubs are in abundance and areas close to the city such as tequila add to the cultural and hangover experience.

having been in a foreign country for some time i wish to meet and share my life with as many people as possible and learn more about their history, culture and life experiences. i'm never short of a story and enjoy those who enjoy a laugh and can laugh at themselves. i am just as happy sitting in a cafe having a chat or drinking and dancing in a bar till sunrise.

I am aware that people have their own lives and i wish not to impose myself or take any hospitality given for granted. I hope i can provide a positive experience for everyone i meet and reciprocate the favour by hosting if and when i return to Australia.
