Hi, I'm Felix, 18, highschool student from Bad Kreuznach, Germany. My great passion is travelling. I've been to the USA and Canada multiple times, mountaineered in Morocco and did several bikepacking trips through France and across the Alps. I hope to travel the world after having finished school.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The second best thing about travelling is the places you see and the extraordinary things you do. But the best thing is the people you meet. It's hard to meet locals if you just arrive in a big city and take a taxi to the next hostel. I think that Couchsurfing is a better option. You immediately meet someone who can show you round, recommends spots to see and introduces you to other locals. Unfortunately, I'm unable to host guests myself because I live with my parents.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
On April 6th 2017, three friends of mine and I took the plane from Germany to Marrakesch, Morocco and drove to Atlas Mountains. Our destination was Jbel Toubkal, the highest peak of Northern Africa. We hiked the 15km with an elevation gain of 1500m to the basecamp and slept in shared bedroom for 12. The next morning, we got up at three, put on our crampons and went for the last 1000m in altitude. It was freezing cold and ridiculously steep. This 4h ascend was the hardest thing I ever did and during the entire time, I doubted if it were worth it. But then we reached the summit at 4167m. The sun shone and we had the most beautiful view ever imaginable. I almost cried and felt taller then ever before (which in fact, was true).
