About Me
Hi My Name is Felix I am 20 years old and from the beautiful city of Dresden in Germany. I've finished high school last year and did competitive sports - canoeing - for many years.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
In my opinion couchsurfing is a good way to get a country and especially the people living there to know.
How they are, how they feel and what they think about the people around and the country they live in.
What they recommend about the place they live in and their insiders' tips for the area around.
As host I want to show, how beautiful my home city Dresden and it's surroundings are and I can introduce you in german culture.
I simply want to get people of different cultures to know, to get new friends and an idea about our world and the "living together" in other nations.
Interests
I have lots of interests! Meeting interesting people from all around the globe as well as socialising is just one thing I like, but one of the most important.
Furthermore I am interested in society, politics and economy. Through doing lots of hiking and skiing I have a deep passion for nature and being out in the mountains and forrests of our blue planet.
Having done competitive sports for same years (canoeing, flatwater racing) I love sports. Not just canoeing also swimming, x-country skiing, climbing, running, hiking or sailing.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like different kinds of music. Modern stuff like electronic music (Paul & Fritz Kalkbrenner e.g.), techno, deep house (Bakermat, Robin Schulz, Milky Chance, Nico Pusch, Lexer e.g.)
Sometimes I listen to older stuff like the music of Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Queen or The Stones.
I also like classical music (preferably piano music, Beethoven, Dvorak, Bach, Mozart, Telemann, Tschaikovsky or Smetana and jazz music).
Favourite movies: Grand Budapest Hotel, The Kings Speech, Into the Wild (Jon Krakauer), An inconvenient Truth, James Bond, documentaries, French Films...
Books: German literature like Hesse, T. Mann, Kästner, Dürrenmatt, Schiller, Goethe
History related literature
Other: Midnight in Siberia (David Greene), Seven Years in Tibet (Heinrich Harrer), Into the Wild, Jacob the Liar, to name some recent ones.
Non-fictional adventure literature like the books published by National Geographic Society.
Also very unkonwn authors with a local relation/background to the places I am travelling to.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Every thing you do is quite different. And most of the things you do have something awesome, weather it's helping poor people somewhere, achieving high performances in sports, visiting beautiful places around the world or doing a nice hike and discovering untouched places in wilderness areas.
