Studying "Global Political Economy" (M.A.) and traveling the world in order to make it a better place.
Well it's always a bit hard to describe oneself I think, but I'll give it a try.
European; spent one year in India as a HR volunteer and 4 Months in the USA as an intern at a labour rights organization; Labor rights activis; got my B.A. in Political Science; lived in Berlin (Germany) but moved to Kassel (Germany) for my M.A.; easy-going and open minded with a passion for music (vinyl addict), social justice, good theatre performances and films; loves cooking for and with friends; being spontaneous and laid-back but also thinking deep from time to time but without making mountains out of molehills :).

I am currently finishing my Masters in "Global Political Economy" at University of Kassel (Germany). I am engaged in the local alternative scene and co-founded a Campus Radio program.
I hold a B.A. in Political Science from Freie Universität Berlin, where I lived for 5 years. Had an amazing time with so many great experiences over there.
Prior to my studies I went to India for one year to volunteer in a HR organization. Spent a great time there and got to see a lot of places in South India, where I also started being passionate about the Indian kitchen (after struggling a while to cope with the extreme use of chilli). During that time I also got to see to Sri Lanka and Thailand.
Social justice and fighting for a just globalization is one of my missions, so you will hear me talking about politics and or economics from time to time. I worked with the Clean Clothes Campaign in Germany, that is I helped to mobilize consumer protest in order to improve working conditions in the global garment industry.
Real conversations are something I enjoy very much as well as listening, searching and playing music. Back in Berlin I organized some clothes swap parties and Soul/Funk/Oldschool Rap/Disco/Rock'n'Roll nights in Bars and project spaces with some friends. As a semi-professional DJ I am addicted to vinyl and getting to know new sounds from around the globe.
I love cooking and biking and just having a wonderful time with people who are friendly and open-minded. And last but not least: I love to laugh.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Hmm, I am just starting to use CS. I hope to get to know some cool people in DC.
Had a great experience in Prague and during my trip in the US but haven't used this site for Couchsurfing for the last 2 years. My former flatmate and I hosted friends and friends of friends etc. back at our old appartment in Berlin. It was always great to meet those people. Unfortunately our appartment in Kassel is currently too small to host people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Climbing on Adams Peak (Sri Lanka) with thousands of pilgrims and seeing the sunrise at the summit (and getting my cellphone stolen in the crowd, haha). The moment when I first saw the Taj Mahal was somekind of an impressive moment too. Well that's maybe enough to raise my market value aka. to show off ;).
