ABOUT ME

Well, I am divorced and I live part of the year in the Northeast coast of Brazil, in Paraiba. I moved there last year and I have been liking to live in a quite place, with a nice view, nice beaches of warm water and far from the busy life of Rio de Janeiro, where I used to live. As an architect, I like to build simple houses there to be sold and once a year I do that. During the busiest season (Spring and Summer) I usually come to Spain to help administrate an albergue at the Camino Francës, which crosses the country from East to West.

Well, I am an easy going person. I like to make fun and laugh in spite of being respectful and serious, when the occasion needs. I have ever liked to host people at my place and this is the reason I came to this community.

PHILOSOPHY

To live is much more simple than we think.
Respect to the others, no prejudice and love. This is peace.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to make friends specially in Europe and Brazil. I also want to host people in my place, close to Joáo Pessoa, Paraiba, Brazil.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Since I was a teenager, I used to meet backpackers on the street and invite them to come home if they had no idea of a place to stay in Rio. Fortunatelly my parents have never claimed about it !
In fact, I think that if you are a host or a visitor you should be nice to each other and do not interfere in daily life.

Intereses

I like to travel, to walk and meet people, art in general. I am interested in music, gardening, Nature, movies, swimming ... When travelling I like to go to Markets and Museums.

Música, películas y libros

No violent movies. I am like Brazilian Popular Music, Opera, Blues, Jazz, Classic Music and popular and unforgetable songs of the 50 and 60ºs.

I read everything.

Algo increíble que he hecho

- to travel through Europe as a hichhiker in the 70ºs-
- to get married just to have my own place (nowadays it is strange, isnºt it ?)
- to have children
- to begin new phases when I was fed up with the status quo
- to teach languages for more than 20 years
- to plan for 33 years to come to the St. Jamesº way, be on the way and arrive in Santiago de Compostela after a 33 days walk
- not to be afraid of life.
- be able to forgive and pardon.
