The 15 second intro: Native New York who quit his job to do freelance software development and travel the world. I spent the last year on the road and am now home for Winter in New York City. I am on here to help people with a place to stay and to share stories and new experiences with surfers when my schedule permits.

As far as my personality goes, I am liberal and open minded. I like humor but not at the expense of others. I am a deep thinker and I like to hear other people's perspectives on things. Generally on the quiet side but I like to socialize.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet new people, experience different cultures and to help people with a comfortable place to stay when I am in NYC.
My interest in travel and CS came after I took my first trip abroad to Italy, France, and Spain in 2010. As a software engineer I am always a fan of using technology to make a real difference in people's lives and I think CS does that well, by letting people from across the world connect, and making travel more accessible to everyone.
Exploring the city (NYC and others), finding interesting people and places, the beach, walks, hockey, photography, nightlife, comedy, concerts
I work in technology so lots of things related to this including web development, application development, social networking, and keeping up on new technologies.
I'm currently learning to play guitar.
