About Me

Hello everybody! I was born in a small town in the heart of beautiful Slovakia. After one crazy night I decided to live and study in Italy and sudden idea of that night was the best decision I have ever made. Since then I have been constantly changing the places which we call home and still not have enough of travelling and that amazing feeling of adventurous uncertainty. If I would like to describe myself in one word, the right one is "liberal". Live and let live!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In Slovakia we have one old saying which might be translated as: "More people you know, more man you are." During my student life I have been living in different countries and environments and I have taken something important from all of them. I believe in necessity of cross-cultural interaction in order to become more open minded, satisfied, united and happy. Couchsurfing is great way how to achieve such a happiness. I am looking forward to meet all my future friends from all parts of the world.

Interests

Give me some sports ball, playground and couple of similarly affected people and suddenly I am the luckiest kid in the world. Especially I love and live for the unplanned nights full of funny stories and accidents peppered by random people. We can talk about everything what is going in the world with bottle of wine till the first sunrays show up. I love cooking and I would be glad to serve you something typical from my country. Last, but not least I believe the best view on the world is from top of the hill after whole day hike with, if you are lucky enough, cold beer in your hand.

Music, Movies, and Books

From hip hop through ska, rock and pop to jazz and classical music. Blockbusters when I am too tired for "deep thinking", documents about everything fascinating (primarily about travelling) when I feel curious, scared of horror movies with clowns and baby girl dolls. (boys are ok, I do not knot why!)
I was raised on Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings kind of books followed by Dan Brown and guys similar to him. Now I read tons of works from scholars they believe they are, but in my humble opinion they are not connected with my field study.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I overthrew my shyness and kissed my girlfriend on the empty crossroad for the first time.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My friends think I am a quite a good chef. I simply love cooking and I am even more passionate about the final process of this beautiful art, eating. I would be more than glad to cook something for you. I can offer my respect for the rules at your home, scent of random Slovak guy who is proud to be from this small but great land, my anxiety for listening to the stories of others and desire to dig deep into your culture. Cheers!
