About Me

Hola, my name is Flora.

I was born and raised in Budapest, and I try to be as free and open as my city is (-if you´ve been here, you know.. )
I smile a lot, and I like to believe that generally people are nice and everything happens for a bigger reason.

At the age of 19 I had the feeling that I needed a break. So I left everything behind and went on a crazy trip around Europe alone, with lots of travelling, volunteering, woofing, couchsurfing, hitchhiking. I lost two thirds of my luggage but in return I got amazing friends and experiences.

After three months, completely broke and tired I arrived back to my beloved city, Budapest and now I'm living the peaceful uni life here.

i let my experiences have influence on who i am

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

There's no better way of travelling than staying with locals. I offer shelter when I can and ask for one when I need it.

Festivals! i love festivals. Best times of my life there, really. The bestest thing about them is that they feel like home, sometimes even more that your real home.

Other than that I like reading, blogging, I love photography and weird people.

i have a mixed taste in music, starting from electronic to world music I'm open to anything. show me what you like, maybe i like it too!

my favourite books are: l'écume des jours by boris vian, the harry potter series, the works of bret easton ellis and a lot more

movies I love: The eternal shine of a spotless mind, Moonrise kingdom, Edward scissorhands, The rocky horror picture show etc

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When in pouring rain we climbed up to a waterfall in the high tatra mountains (slovakia). And we walked into a cloud and it was so unbelievably beautiful.

When I packed my suitcase and started traveling alone. And on the board of the plane I didn´t feel scared at all, just happiness and thrill. That was amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to make origami birds, or how to prepare the best tuna sauce in 15 minutes. I can teach you some useful words in hungarian, if you´re interested
