Travel the world and help others do the same in an affordable and amazing way
When I retired from teaching in 2007 I immediately packed my bags and joined a trip to China with colleagues. Upon returning, within a few months I repacked and went to Italy. Once I returned home I got fascinated with setting up websites, wrote a book and became a radio host. My current passion is helping coaches, entrepreneurs and speakers write their books. I'm a widow with four adult children and three grandchildren who are adults now too. I love to write, travel and entertain.
Nobody becomes somebody without the help of somebody else.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have been a hostess and a guest, as well as met some members for coffee/drink when they were in my town and vice versa. I even interview Dan Hoffer, cofounder of Couchsurfing, on my radio show in 2011.
I have had the pleasure of hosting couchsurfers from Switzerland, Malta, Korea, Canada, and many USers. All were fantastic experiences. Whether staying as a guest or just meeting for coffee, I have met amazing people. We are a unique breed you know.
All kinds of music, small theater, reading, learning about many things, blogging, writing, building websites lately and travelling.
Music, Movies, and Books
Latest books--The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency series by Alexander McColl Smith. I read a lot of "how to write and publish" books lately since I'm a publishing coach. Recently fell in love with the British drama, Downton Abbey.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Gave birth to 4 children, saw the Great Wall of China, cruised the canals of Venice and more. Now I have to add couchsurfing as another amazing experience.
Teach, Learn, Share
I don't know where to begin with this one. I can teach reading, critical thinking, how to study, tips on getting a college degree, time management, gift basket design, running a gift basket business and lately some travel tips. I would like to become fluent in Spanish, skillful at salsa, and proficient at making a fortune on the Internet, to start. My current passion is helping coaches, entrepreneurs and speakers write their books.
