About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Writing something in this blank space!

PHILOSOPHY

love Love (in any- and ideally, every - of its expressions) through being-becoming Love.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When on the road, couchsurfing is my preferred way of traveling, along with WWOOFing ad visiting friends... oh, and camping, yes!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i've done this a few times as part of a couple of cross-country roadtrips. amazing hosts, nights filled with unexpected energies and events, and very good times in general.
unofficially (as in not through the couchSurfing web system), i crash in couches that are open to me as often as opportunities present themselves. friends' couches. familiar strangers' couches. i enjoy spontaneous adventures that open up the doors for experiences that idealized, hyper-planned, expensive, and touristy traveling might not provide.
stop trying to figure shit out, open up your grasping hands, and feel it all rest in your palms.
i like to just go. stay. return.

Interests

i am very interested in the different ways in which persons experience reality and the challenging and exciting sharing of perceptions. i dig philosophy; immensely. existentialism, phenomenology, and metaphysics mainly, but also religious (dialectics between mysticisms/esoterisms) and political (particularly enjoying all sorts of strange, unorthodox socialist mixtures). writing is my passion; from poetry, to stream of thought, to scholarly stuff. i am always interested in sub-cultures and counter-cultures; i appreciate deviance from any given "normal" (in political, religious, gender, sexual, and all sorts of behavioral and mental terms). i'm all for experiencing anything new and whatever that takes me out of my intellectual and physical comfort, as well as perceiving/receiving as much as I can from life (and, in turn, giving that - as transformed through my being- away to others).
reading. silence. meditation. dancing. awesome tangent-filled conversations. co-creating music. camping. drinking cheap ass whiskey and wine. humor and lightness. perceiving the hidden. feeling the subtle. allowing my being's core to be affected and my foundations shaken. fucking traditional values and comprehensive ethical systems.
the mysteries of life attract me. radical, ever-changing, life-altering insights and revelations. synchronicity. time-space transcendence. dream yoga. 'paranormal' shit. god.
each being is a beautiful, unique, and infinitely mysterious one, one in whom the All exists. I love eyes, minds, souls.

Music, Movies & Books

music: some favorites are degiheugi. hedgehog dilemma. hooverphonic. portishead. massive attack. bonobo. thievery corporation. depeche mode. matisyahu. infected mushroom. wax tailor. frou frou. daft punk. beatles. doors. M.I.A. manu chao. greg baudmont... and pretty much anything that makes my blood boil. i'm a trip hop lover. nothing beats inclusive live music, aka jamming sessions.

movies: requiem for a dream . girl interrupted. alice in wonderland. peaceful warrior . into the wild. gia. lord of the rings . narnia . devil's advocate . spirited away . waking life. matrix . hero . what dreams may come . pi. the exorcist . big fish . donie darko. being john malkovich. constantine . truman show . eternal sunshine of the spotless mind . paris je t'aime. disney classics. and a bunch more.

books: ... too many books i've loved; i'm a bibliophile :)
some authors i really like: kierkegaard, žižek, lewis carroll, james redfield, thich nhat hanh, paul tillich, jerome a. miller, nietzsche, alan watts, doystoevsky, herman hesse, derrida, c.s. lewis, a. huxley, camus, st. thomas aquinas, calderon de la barca, emerson, sartre, derrida, kahlil gibran, miguel de unamuno, de beauvoir, paulo coelho, karl marx, lao tzu, foucault, timothy leary...

Teach, Learn, Share

i guess most teaching/learning takes place naturally (if we are willing and open, though), by inter-being, practicing economy of gift (i.e. sharing), engaging in dialectical learning (hopefully resulting in some truths' deconstruction and re-creation) and inter-promoting realization of potentialities slash multiplicities of selves. i can't concretely define what it is that i can teach, cause it depends on what the present questions on your heart are. i also have my questions. i don't expect for us to give definite answers to each other, but to expand our own questions and create new curiosities through sharing partial answers that open up even more unexplored mental-spiritual-physical-emotional territories.

feel free to shake my foundations and break through my assumptions and illusions :)
