Hi! My name is Frances, I studied Industrial Design and worked for a year before deciding to move abroad for a year. Currently I'm teaching English in a tiny town in France but will soon be returning to California to continue my design career. I love traveling and have been lucky enough to visit several European countries in the past year. I'm also quite familiar with Taiwan since my parents are from there and I visited many summers in a row.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've heard about it for a long time but have never tried it, this summer I'll be traveling with a friend and decided it'd be a great time to start.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite books are Lord of the Rings. That also goes for favorite movies. Favorite shows are Doctor Who, Sherlock, and miscellaneous British comedy panel shows.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once read the Lord of the Rings in one week. I also watched a whole video of someone polishing a camera for 45 minutes. Sorry that's all I have to offer for amazingness. I'm a very average person.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you're interested in practicing your English or Mandarin Chinese with me I'd be happy to help. I can also speak French conversationally from living in France for the past year. For learning I'd be interested in hearing stories about your past travels, life experiences, hobbies, interests, anything. If anyone can teach me German that'd be great too.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm more than happy to bring some local food, postcards, souvenirs, etc. from wherever I came from previously, in this case probably France. While I'm staying at your home I'd love to help cook a meal. I'd be sure to help with cleanup as well.
