About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Quick and cheap and fully immersed in where ever I am.

ABOUT ME

Although a born American, my family immigrated from Russia just a few short years before i was born. This led to quite a culture class between my home life and what I faced every day at school and was also my first experience with understanding cultures separate from my own. Because of this i speak Russian and have a large admiration of root vegetables. Since then I have branched out to enjoy all new experiences, travel and understanding all cultures I come in contact with. I am a competitive Latin ballroom dancer, a yoga instructor, and a liberal arts student who loves to write.

PHILOSOPHY

As they say, give a man a couch, he sleeps for a night, teach a man to couch and he sleeps for the rest of his life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

While traveling through Europe last year, I relied on quite a few couches. It was an amazing experience.

Interests

Dancing, yoga, reading, writing, talking. I honestly would have to fight to narrow this category down. I'm intrigued and genuinely fascinated by all facets of life.

Music, Movies, and Books

All sorts. Obviously predominantly American culture. I love classics though like Charles Dickens, Charlotte Bronte, J.D. Salinger, Dostoevsky, and of course J.K. Rowling. I'm a huge movie buff so American or Foreign chances are I've seen it and if not I'd love to hear about it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I studied abroad in Florence, Italy in Fall 2012 and it was amazing. I think that was my first couchsurfing experience because I lived with a family for the entire 4 month period. I also got to travel a good amount: Vienna, Budapest, Bratislava, and throughout Italy. Every experience I've had has just instilled the need to travel in me more.
