Still thinking on this one...
I live my life the way I would create a dance. You watch, you listen, notice details and patterns, how it's all connected and you pull things together. An opportunity comes along, you begin to feel a repetition or theme in the fabric of your life and you act. But always paying attention to the details, to the people around you. Every moment trying to wake up to the beauty of the present.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I just joined so for the moment I'm still getting myself situated. I hope to participate more later as building communities is delightful, you meet so many interesting people.
Only on friends couches. Have not yet put this network to the test but may have a chance very soon as I'm on my way to London and at the mercy of my friends.
Anything arts related especially dance and festivals. Love photography drawing and painting. Outdoor adventure is necessary fun from kayaking and white water rafting to hiking and climbing. A good book, inspiring conversations with strangers, ice cream on a hot day, and friends around a camp fire. The night sky, community projects, potluck and barbeques, tropical beaches, massage and acupressure, exploring a new city, and of coarse travelling. Absolutely love to travel. Nothing like the freedom of the open road the excitement of adventure and the unknown.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was 8 I was out trolling with my family on our boat the Helen A a 40ft diesel. In my part of the world fishing is a livelihood not a hobby. We'd been out all week and hadn't seen land for a few days when a nasty gale blew up out of nowhere. My brother and I we're suited up in survival gear in the wheelhouse while my parents secured the deck and prepared for an emergency. I have never since seen waves as big as I saw that day. We were at the mercy of the sea and my brother and I were loving every minuet of the storm. It was a free roller coaster. Not until I saw the entire left trolling poll vanish underwater as the boat rolled on it's side did I begin to realize we might not make it.
Teach, Learn, Share
Everything in this world is connected as we come from the same source; therefore there is no such thing as a stranger and when you meet someone else who understands this, what a beautiful thing. Two individuals whose paths cross, you share a moment or a day and then you go on your way but it's a moment you'll never forget. And at the end of your time you have a memory and heart full of unforgettable moments and unforgettable people. That is being truly rich.
