ABOUT ME

I'm just free spirit. I love to travel and meet people wherever I go. I enjoy new experiences in general. I'm a married man with 2 children and substance abuse counselor. My wife has her Masters and currently works in the adoption field.

I used to hitchhike all over when I was younger (and still would willing). I roamed around free. I finally got married, had kids and bought a house. Now I live vicariously through helping other wanderers experience life outside there own little portal of the world.

PHILOSOPHY

Make your dreams come true. Don't let fear control your life.

I want to live my life in such a way that when I die...my friends have a Big BBQ and celebrate life. Mix my ashes in with the BBQ ashes and toss me wherever, then go out and enjoy life. When I say enjoy life I mean, go experience things to never done before. I'm of the anti-tv sort. I love movies, but I cannot live my life in front of a screen and choke down the information other decide to feed me.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My wife and I are always trying to break away from routine and getaway for a couple of days to travel in the Northwest.
We have couch in the living room. We keep regular daytime hours. Were new to hosting, but many family and friends have stayed overnight and we love to have company. This is an older house on 1 acre. We're trying to remodel it as we have funding. So basically there is always something under construction.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed with some beautiful families in Portland Oregon and my wife surfed with a friend to San Francisco and back. Our couch is usually open. There is room for an RV and tents. Although we are in town, so sometimes it may be noisier when sleeping outside. I've met some great people through hosting. In August 2013 I met up with some CS'rs and we went on a Full Moon Bike ride in Glacier Park.

Interesses

Fly-fishing. Deep in the middle of the remote wilderness with bubbling streams, sunshine and shade, watching the deer watch me.
