To unite all people in peace and to create a sustainable alternative system for the whole world.
I'm on a very long and very random journey around the world. Grew up in Norway... lived in London... now, god knows where I will be, who I will be, how and why. Would love to meet you, though!
Though I am seriously nomadic, I am looking for "community" in every sense of that word. My life seems to be going down (or up?) the sustainable-self-sufficient-squatting-dumpster-diving-anti-capitalist-environmentally-friendly-socially-responsible-anarchist-rainbow-brother-track. (Don't you just hate it when that happens?)
I'm just following my path. It involves a lot of communal work, I try to bring the ultimate idealism of sharing, brotherhood, communalism and free love into the practical world.
It's all about unconditional love...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Six years of travelling and being on the receiving end of a never-ending string of favours big and small has left me with the heavy but wonderful "burden" to see it as my duty to share whatever I have. And I try to smile a lot.
I haven't hosted much because of my constant travelling but I always welcome anyone into my tent or my room or my cardboard box. Couchsurfing is unfortunately flawed in the respect that you can't both be nomadic and have a verified address.
Couchsurfing changed my life...
- scuba diving
- track and field
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Er... Made a no-budget music video for a group of Berber musicians in Marrakech that they now make a living from...? Made an information film about female genital cutting with a grassroots organisation in Mali...? Discovered the meaning of the word "love" and my connection to the universe and what some people call "god" and how I am not different to you or a tree or the chair I am currently sitting on - all in one go...? Riding in a nomadic horse caravan community across Brazil for a year...?
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach: English (I'm a TEFL teacher); English pronunciation and phonetics (I used to be an actor); RandomLiving (if you need to spice up your life... yes, I do have my own cult); the mouth harp / Jew's harp / jaw harp (my travelling instrument of choice); Norwegian; how to cook the richest, creamiest pasta you'll ever taste.
