To be more careless, but not in the bad way.
I'm relaxed and liberal. I live in Toronto so I have a fantastic diversity around me and I respect people that respect people. I never wear suits but think I look good in one. I like making spontaneous trips to random places. I'm polite and yet curse (very) regularly. My cat adopted me. I'm one of my favorite people to laugh at. I don't think I'm very funny. I like to bake and will probably bake you something. It will probably contain chocolate. I don't know if I'm an extroverted introvert or vice versa. I would much rather eat at a diner than a chain restaurant but have a dark secret of wanting to try all of them once. I love Indian food but have no idea how to cook any of it. I prefer pubs to clubs and beer to wine but have been known to enjoy clubs and wine. New York is my favorite city but Berlin is a close second. I really need to get out more. I've seen 70% of Canada but I need to go across an ocean. *UPDATE* I've been across an ocean now. I want to go back. I still eat meat.
Behave as you want it to come back to you.
Look both ways before crossing the street but don't always wait for the light to change.

Concerts and lots of them. I don't play any instruments myself so have always appreciated those that did. Plus, it gives me a chance to do something else I enjoy - jumping around and getting sweaty. Random adventures around town. I'll try almost anything if the company is good. Or if you give me cheesecake.

Music, Movies, and Books
Favorite movies are hard but Cheech & Chong, Kevin Smith films, Thank You For Smoking, Before Sunrise/Sunset, Dazed and Confused, Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels, Spice World (really), Tank Girl, BASEketball, The Usual Suspects, Life of Pi plus about 100 more. A good documentary is always easy to watch as well.
Nine Inch Nails, Pink Floyd, Nirvana, Brit & the Cavalry (CSers), Rebecca Brandt (CSer), SNOWMINE (CSers), Melody Gardot, the Beatles, the Doors, Metric, Moby, Violent Femmes, Bif Naked, Alice In Chains, Jewel, Johnny Cash, Foo Fighters, Grateful Dead, Miles Davis, k-os, various Toronto bands.... Alicia Keys "Empire State of Mind". That song brings tears to my eyes.
Some authors I've enjoyed include Hunter Thompson, George Orwell, Herman Hesse, Naomi Klein & Mark Twain.
When it comes to TV, I love the Simpsons (even if it hasn't been funny in 10+ years), 30 Rock, the Daily Show & the Colbert Report.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I drove from Toronto to Quebec City to Victoria BC (that's far. Trust me or check Google) when I was 18 with $20 and a 1/4 tank of gas. Discovered how kind and generous Canadians really are.
Skydiving from 13,500'. Though the jump wasn't nearly as worrisome as the drive there.

Five-Minute Chocolate Mug Cake
4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
2-3 drops vanilla extract
1 coffee mug
Vegan Version (untested):
1/4 cup flour
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/2 tablespoon vegetable oil
3/4 teaspoon white vinegar
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 cup water
Directions: Mix dry ingredients then add wet ingredients and mix well. Place the mug in the microwave and cook for 2-3 minutes on HIGH (1000 watts). The cake will rise over the top of the mug and then sink down when the microwave is turned off. Allow to cool a little (it's going to be HOT!!), and tip out onto a plate. Run a knife around the edge if it doesn't slide out easily.
Great with ice cream!
