ABOUT ME

I am currently doing an MA in Medieval and Renaissance Studies, with a special focus on English Literature and the use of allegory. My bigger plan is to be a writer. Realistically speaking, I will probably be working part time in cafes for a while...

I am a quiet person in general, but friendly and engaged by interesting conversation. I enjoy getting to know other peoples experiences of life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Unfortunately at the moment I cannot host as I live in student accommodation with only one bed and no couch.

However I would like to be a friendly un-encroaching guest. I joined couchsurfing recently as I occasionally go to London to see a play or go to an art gallery, and from the North it is a long journey to make in a day.

I would also just love to meet more people. I enjoy friendly conversation and warm chats of an evening.

Interests

Literature, music, understanding people, travelling.

I have been to several countries in Europe, to the USA, to India, to Tanzania. My favourite place in the world is Istanbul.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am currently going through an appreciation of Studio Ghibli films. 'Only Yesterday' is my favourite.

As for literature, at the present I love short stories, especially the 'Sudden Fiction' collections.
