ABOUT ME

I'm an explorer at heart, and a curiousity for all things gives me the drive to meet new people, see new places, and absorb as much from life as I can. I think that everything I encounter affects me in some way, whether for good or ill, and every experience I have goes towards shaping me as a person, so I try to be as open and willing to learn from it all as I can. I'm easy going and I think the best way to ensure a full and satisfying life is to simply live for what you love and be happy with who you are in the present.

I think there is a lot to be said for the quote:
"The only sinful life is a dull one"
Life is about enjoying the beauty of the earth and the excitment and experiences it presents. To spend your life letting life itself pass you by is a shameful waste.

SO. In a nutshell, I love to learn, I love to laugh, I love to love, and most of all I love to LIVE!

PHILOSOPHY

No one owns everything, and everyone is free.
To many people complain about how they can't do something because of a job or it costs too much or they don't know how or any number of excuses based on the concept that something besides you and you alone have control of your life. I hope to live my life in a way that allows me to enjoy the vast pleasures of life, but that doesn't bind me to the modern social and material pillars, guidelines, and limitations we have erected as a world society.

In terms of traveling, I think that it is important for people to explore the earth and learn from different cultures and see the amazing things there are all around us, but it is also important to know where you come from on this earth and have a sense of "home". When you travel to different places to absorb different culture and meet different people, its a two way street, you have to give something back, so knowing who you are and knowing where you come from allows the people you meet to absorb some of your differences too. Sharing is the name of the game.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am very new to couchsurfing, but I've at the good luck to already have been hosted by some fantastic people. I am excited to host people in the future and get more involved in the couchsurfing community.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been hosted a few times and each one has been unique and an all around excellent experience. I've met people that I am sure I will go back and visit, and couchsurfing has really made my trips more enriching and memorable.

Interests

A passion that has been an important part of my life for a long time is the one I have for the game of soccer. It is the beautiful game, and no other sport encorporates expression and emotion and excitement the way soccer does. I am also a sailor and living by the sea my whole life has given me a great appreciation for the power and beauty of the ocean. Nothing gives you the same feeling of freedom as sailing does.
