I have been living in Istanbul since I was born. I recently graduated from Bogazici University.
I love hitchhiking. I travelled most parts of Turkey and some parts of Greece, England and France.
Travelling is like medicine to me when I get bored of regular life. Meeting new people from different regions and hanging around with them are amazing experiences for me. [update: After I got a regular job, this is still true]
Don't be pessimist. Sun rise every morning!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I was going to Greece, it was Easter and I couldn't find anyone to host me in the city.
When my friend and I arrived to Thessaloniki, we asked direction to a Greek guy. After small talk, he invited us for sleepover for the next night. He prepared us dinner, we went to the church together and spent some time in the city. It was fascinating to meet a guy on the street in the midnight and becoming really good friends for life.
When I go to a different city, I go for a coffee with some people I meet on couchsurfing.
Umm.. I believe that we can find something common to do with anyone.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Maybe it is hitching alone on the long way during the day and nights and meeting strangers and becoming friends with them. It becomes habit for me.
Teach, Learn, Share
Since I am Turkish guy, I can tell you about Turkish history, politics, lifestyles.. anything about Turkey and Turkish people, and also neighboring countries.
