I am a newbie. Just getting started. I have lived in intentional communities and done backpacking and camping trips but now looking for new ways to connect with people around the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

Oh man, this is a tough one. I love music. I am a music journalist(making the transition to covering social justice issues and the environment) but music fuels my life. I am also a musician--mostly piano, but can play guitar and banjo a bit. But bringing it down to specifics? Let's get into that when we meet ;-)

I don't watch movies often but I love reading. Some of my favorites are Poisonwood Bible, Crime and Punishment, Cutting for Stone, and anything written by David Sedaris.

I would love to learn a new language. Currently I struggle with Spanish and know only one German phrase.

Also would love to become a better surfer.

I can teach English, cooking, or show you the greatest hiking trails in the area.
