About Me

Hey everyone! My name is Gabe Arrage. This is a joint account with my older sister Leyna Arrage. We will be traveling together this summer and are a package deal. I am beginning my first year of college and looking to expand on my travel experiences outside of the United States beginning this summer. I am very laid back, enjoy meeting new people, trying new things (as long as it has nothing to do with heights). At home in Colorado I spend a lot of time riding my horses, hiking, camping, and hanging out with friends. I will be moving to Montana in the fall to start college.

Hello! My name is Leyna! I am 21 years old, currently attending college at Regis University in Denver. I am majoring in Nursing and Spanish. I will be graduating next year and am looking into international traveling nursing and flight nursing with the Airforce. My greatest passion is traveling. Thus far, I have spent a lot of time in Central America and am looking to step foot in all 7 continents. I love learning about other cultures, languages, and meeting new people. I believe everyone has a story to share. I am very laid back and will try anything and everything. I enjoy horseback riding, hiking, camping, climbing, backpacking.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We believe that couch surfing is the best way to integrate into a culture and meet new people. While we are tourists, we want to go beyond the "tourist experience" and learn from others and the culture. We are taking a three week backpacking trip through Europe based on the Band of Brothers World War 2 Easy Company route. Our hopes are to visit the historic sites, while also exploring the cities we are staying in, and meet new people.

For anyone on stateside, we hope to offer you the same hospitality that we are sure we will experience in other countries.

Anything and Everything

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

To make it simple, jointly, one amazing and unique thing we have done revolves around our horses. We both have trained mustangs that were caught wild off the range. With our horses we have done trick riding, bare-back, bridleless jumping, roman riding (standing on two horses), and drill riding.

Teach, Learn, Share

We can teach you about nursing, Spanish, some Arabic. We also enjoy cooking and would be willing to try and cook a meal!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am willing to share my travel experiences, dinner, conversations, and hang out with my hosts. Whether it is a quiet night in or an adventurous night out, we are open minded to try anything.

Countries I’ve Visited

Costa Rica, England, Honduras, Lebanon, Nicaragua, Panama
