Join Couchsurfing to see Gaia Sagrada’s full profile. It’s free!
Assist spiritual seekers and those who want to live healthy with organic food, yoga and meditation.
I have worked really hard for more than a decade and founded University of Metaphysical Sciences in the USA and Gaia Sagrada Spiritual Community & Retreat Center in Ecuador. I facilitate workshops and teach meditation techniques as well as many other things, like How to See Auras, Lucid Dreaming, Astral Projection, Living in the Present Moment, Non-duality, and lots of other topics over the years.
I also like to play guitar in rock and roll bands (can't be meditating and doing yoga ALL the time, right?). I'm not in a band right now, been too busy. If you wanna jam, bring an instrument. Lots of people play music at the campfires and I am always amazed at how many talented, undiscovered music stars there are in the world! I love the campfire jams!
I believe in living in the now moment, letting life unfold naturally, and being in service to humanity. I believe in having lots of fun along the way, too!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I participate by offering a couch! Come surf with me in the magical Andes mountains of Ecuador!
Since Gaia Sagrada is a retreat center, if you only plan on one night it has to be a Friday night as it would be too disruptive to workshop participants to have people coming and going. I can't guarantee that I will be able to spend much time with you as that is my only night of rest, but you are welcome to come and look around and enjoy for a night on Fridays.
If you want to come for more than one night, the minimum you could stay during the week is for 5 nights at one of the 6 day retreats, arriving on a Sunday afternoon, and I give you the first night free with an hour a day work exchange during the retreat. You would only have to pay for 4 of the nights to be part of the workshop. Just mention you're a couchsurfer and you're in. If you want to come for more than one night during the weekend, the first night would be free, but you would have to pay for Saturday night and be part of the workshop.
If you stay for the whole month, with work exchange you can stay for as little as $10.70 per day (US dollars), which includes everything! Yoga classes, meditation, workshops, sauna, hot tubs, 3 vegetarian meals a day, everything! It's a screamin' deal at $289 for 4 weeks! I you just want to come for one night though, make it a Friday. Oh, and not every weekend has a workshop going on. It's hit or miss on which weekends will have something going on, and sometimes it comes together at the last minute.
I HOST couch surfers, but haven't been a couch surfer through this site. However, in my younger years I did plenty of couch surfing before the term was invented! Even lived in the wilderness on and off for six years and traveled a lot of countries with my backpack too. I was a wandering soul, but settled down here in Ecuador now that I'm a bit older.
Living in the present
- organic food
Music, Movies, and Books
Power of Now
Gosh, just too much to list. I like everything, pretty much. It's all good.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have seen and done so many things I just don't know how to pick something, so I have to say, uh, well, you'll just have to ask me to tell you some road stories once you're here!
One of the amazing things I do and see every day is partake of the nature darshan (blessing from a master, Gaia, Earth) here in these mountains. I am constantly amazed by the beauty of the birds, stars, fireflies, moonlight, and the absolute green and lushness of all that is here. It is truly paradise on Earth!
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to learn and teach, and a true teacher is always a student!
Things I have to teach are...
Meditation, yoga, spiritual workshops, alternative building, permaculture, organic gardening, DIY solar ovens, hot water and stoves, and all sorts of things listed on the site.
If you have something to teach, let me know and maybe you can offer a workshop here! I would love to have you teach ME something!
