Overview
About Me
I 'spose I'm pretty boring. I manage the house for the five of us, work at a vintage store part-time and model for the fine arts dept at Indiana Un. I'm trying to get an Etsy store up and running and have the odd writing projects in various stages of non-completeness. All things considered, if there is no snow in my driveway for me to shovel, I'm pretty much a happy woman.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My daughter and granddaughter and I tried it while in Florida and had a great experience. Not certain who might want to touch base in Bloomington. We aren't very exotic.
Interests
Curious about most things. Love to read, make jewelry and stained glass, write. Currently preparing a workshop for senior citizens on how to recognize 501 c (3) and (4) mail fraud and how to protect themselves. I don't do as much as I use to. The ole bones doth protest too much.

Music, Movies, and Books
Eclectic music tastes. I have a book in process almost 100% of the time. Tony Hillerman, Nevada Barr, mysteries, sci fi and paranormal, but I also like historical novels, biographies and romances if well written. Any writing that moves a story forward elegantly. Movies that use language masterfully and make me smile.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Sat in the moonlight while sailing down the Nile; climbed Mt. Kinabalu; was in Bishkek during the tulip revolution; motored from Bangkok to Chang Mai; safaried in Kenya; was living in Singapore when the first McDonalds opened; picked tea at a plantation in the mountains just north of Jakarta; swam topless on Kuta Beach, Bali; visited the caves in Corregidor, Philippines; scuba dove off Rawa Island, Malaysia; saw Julie Andrews, Robert Goulet and Richard Burton in Camelot in NY, Cats in London and Neil Diamond in Frankfort.
Teach, Learn, Share
I learn something I don't know everyday. Doesn't have to be complicated. I'm just happy the synapses continue to fire. I've taught or designed instructional materials for over 25 years and love the creative process of molding concepts to facilitate the learning process.
