ABOUT ME

I have been doing a similar job in different cities in the south west of the UK for 6 years, and whilst I love it,I have come to a point in my life where I need to push past my personal boundaries and do something out of what is ordinary for me. So I've booked a one way ticket, scrimped and saved and plucked up the courage to go travelling on my own. I'm sure it will be the start of a beautiful adventure, and one of many more to come. I have a curiosity in everything and if anyone has a strong passion then I love to find out more about it. I'm a very relaxed, easy going person, to the point where friends sing 'mellow yellow' to me. I can also be spontaneous, loud and the life and soul when the mood takes me.

I haven't been able to host at my current house due to reluctant housemates but I will soon be moving house and so will be able to participate far more actively!

Travelling is new to me, but couchsurfing seems to have a philosophy very close to my own.

Music, Movies, and Books

My most listened to music at the moment includes: Radiohead,First Aid Kit, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Nick Drake, Chase and Status, Ben Howard, Thom Yorke, David Bowie etc. The last film I watched was The Beach, my favourites include Amelie, Spirited Away, Little Miss Sunshine, Moulin Rouge. At the moment I'm reading Birdsong by Sebastian Faulks and my favourites include Watership Down, 1984, In Search of Moleke-Mbembe, The Hobbit, the Harry Potter series, plus the works of Dave Gorman, Danny Wallace, Paulo Cohelo and so many more. I love British sitcoms such as Black Books, Ab Fab, The Vicar of Dibley, Spaced, Peep Show, The IT Crowd etc.
