I've lived in Amsterdam for a year with my girlfriend, we both study at the university down the street. I walk a dog every morning and work down the road at a café too.
I grew up in Bristol, UK, and lived in Manchester for 2 years before coming to Amsterdam. I like Amsterdam and it rivals Bristol in terms of being a nice place to live.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've met some amazing people who have couchsurfed with my friends, and couchsurfed myself, so now that I have the opportunity to offer a couch (or bed) I think it would be a nice thing to do.

Interests

Whenever I have the time and money I like exploring new places in Amsterdam, there are always places to be explored. I sometimes have a WeArePublic membership which means that I get free tickets to some independent cinema showings, music events, plays, talks etc.
I spend most of my time cooking, listening to music, and reading, unless I can afford to go out...
Most of the time I'd be up for whatever and enjoy meeting new people, so if someone wants to come and be shown around, or just wants a place to sleep, it's fine by me.

I tend to like instrumental music, jazz, hip hop, ambient stuff, world music, reggae...
Anything from the challenging and stimulating to just pleasing animations, but if it's bad, it must be bad, I must have seen The Room at least 20 times.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveling - is it any surprise? Is that one thing? If it ought to be narrower, then the thing that really took my breath away was the firefly larvae that lit up the sides of the rivers at night.
