ABOUT ME

Traveling is something i have always loved. Although i have never been particularly good at planning ahead, which is something that a lot of people consider important when traveling around the world.

This means that when i go its normally without a lot of money and not much of idea of what i plan on doing, due to the lack of planning.
This trip was especially so. I left australia on a round the world trip on the 23 of May 2011, one month after i bought my ticket.

First stop was california for a two month long summer. I was staying with a good friend at the time and we traveled around california up to San Fransico and many other places.
I realised by the end of trip in America that i didn't exactly agree with the general... philosiphy of life, which a lot of americans hold very dear.

Next was Germany. I knew i wanted to learn German but that was about as far as I got with my planning.
I arrived in Frankfurt and left for Dusseldorf the next day, for obvious reasons if you have ever stayed there for more than a couple of hours...

Again Dusseldorf was a bit of a disappointment, i didn't really know what i was looking for but that wasn't it. So after staying with a friend for a week or so i left for something a little less conservative... Berlin was the obvious choice.
Again this was one of those spontaneous decisions that left me stranded in a foreign city without a place to sleep.
It wasn't long after i found a place to live that money became an issue. Competing with every erasmus student that came to Berlin looking for a job i had to get a little creative.
Craig's List was a great source for odd jobs and i saw a lot of different sides of the city i was quickly falling in love with.

After five months in the city it is time to start traveling again. Madrid for Christmas with a two night stop over in Milan on the 19th and 20th.

Then to Hong Kong... again no plans past that.

Learning about how people live in different places, with different traditions and lifestyles is my current passion.
