Finding a practical way to develop my interests in education and environmental protection

ABOUT ME

I am a kind, joyful and thoughtful person who likes being around interesting people, and also likes telling humorous things and travelling. I will rarely say something to hurt someone unless they say or do something hurtful and unjust. That makes me easy going and able to communicate with a wide variety of people.

PHILOSOPHY

One should treat others as one would like others to treat oneself. Also, try to help a person in need whenever possible without seeking reward (maybe just gratitude). Also try to understand as much as possible the differences among all of us and appreciate them as a reason for differing opinions and judgments.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I and my partner Alex can host guests and we are also surfing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None so far. We will be receiving our first guest in September.

Interests

Recently I have developed a deep interest into these areas:
- Alternative methods of schooling and education systems, ref. Sir Ken Robinson
- Psychology of the work place, Myers Briggs psychology test and Jung's theory of types
- Environmental safety and recycling garbage - I introduces recycling bins in my office and I personally try to separate garbage as much as possible
- Alternative sources of energy
- Inequalities and social injustice - I would like to start volunteering in an organization that fights these

Music, Movies, and Books

Gergana:
- Music: The Killers, The Cooks, Chase & Status, Korn, Chillout, Armin van Buuren and others
- Books: Self motivational and popular social psychology books; P. G. Wodehouse, Armistead Maupin
- Movies: I like moving films that will leave me thinking about them at least for a couple of days - that rounds it up to drama mainly.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Not so many amazing things so far, this is why I and Alexander are joining couch surfing to have a better opportunity to explore the world's marvels.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would like to learn more about environmental safety and the dangers our current way of living poses to the nature.
I can share my knowledge of MS Excel and accounting entries and financial and managerial reporting ;)
