I didn't even know I wanted a home with a backyard and a peach tree, and 2 fuzzy roommates and things to repair and a fridge to replace and a COUCH! I wasn't realy looking for all that, but now that I have it, might as well enjoy it!
Even if I have never travelled through this network, i have been graced on the road with welcoming people how had welcoming couches. I would be glad to have people get to know this city I adore and that I work to make better. If my curiosity brought me to be interested in the differences, my geography studies gave me some of the tools to improve my living space, wich is Montreal.
Like the song says, there is a time for everything. Now is the time where I can't go to the world, but am inviting it to come to me.
I work for the Montreal Urban Ecology Centre on a project to facilitate and secure active transport (walk, bike). Here is the website: www.urbanecology.net
The reproduction of plants would interest me as much as ukrainian labour laws. I don't tan, ever, because I have Irish blood. Love to assist friends in there project of building a straw house. I even question myself if i will visit them as much when the house will be finished! No fiberglass, just straw! Wonderful.
Oh yeah! My gorgeous roommates. There are wonderful and as welcoming (even more!) than me. We were kiked out of the other place and still decided to move in together. It turned out for the best even though the 4 intensive weekends before finding this place were... special. 4 weekends, that is like going to Vancouver and back with them: we got to know eachother, for the best and the worst. We also got to visit Montreal, places and neighbourhoods I'd never been. That is the kind of trip I guess I have been doing lately.
When you water it and care for it, it grows.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
OK, that is my weak point. I must admit I created my page without even checking in once, just because I work enough with the computer and filling out boxes. I like people, not boxes. But I'm there!
This weekend, my brother was arround and was watching boxing on TV, that was too much, I could learn from the football chanel, but boxing? Peace man!
Good experiences: going to an Austrian friend party in a tunnel. Or the time I got to go for the chickens' fresh eggs of a Polish family, from whom the only thing I could understand was 'egg'.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Small is beautiful, man! Last weekend shooting stars were amazing.

I'm not so bad with languages, would love to practice my handicaped Spanish. If any Thais in town, Sawadee!
Would love to share my extra bike, show the way arround, the best vietnamees soup restaurants or the best pizzas, the best spot to have a pic nic or to cross country ski.
