CURRENT MISSION

To provide cheap accommodations for visitors of Devil's Lake State Park a mile south of me or Wisconsin Dells north 8 miles. I also look forward to doing a little traveling myself. And of course, it's nice to meet new people.

ABOUT ME

I live in an old downtown building in Baraboo, Wisconsin. I also work here as a community development specialist. For fun, I like to hike at Devil's Lake, bike the county roads of Sauk County and take road trips. I also act in community theater and I am a member of Toastmasters. I have also lived in Florida, Louisiana, and Iowa. I've been in every state east of the Mississippi and after my upcoming road trip, I will only need to vista five states to have been in every state west of the Mississippi. I enjoy showing people around town.

PHILOSOPHY

I always treat the cashier, waitstaff, and other retail workers with respect. That's the best way to get service. I think it's important to work hard and play hard.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I signed up a few years ago and hosted a couple of people but than I moved to a new place that was to small to have guests. I have a new place now that is more accommodating. I have not been traveling that much lately either but that will change with my upcoming road trip out to Washington State.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have yet to travel the couchsurfing way. I have hosted a couple of surfers a couple of years ago. I hope to host surfers now that I have a larger place.

The geologic evolution of the earth is very fascinating. Devils Lake is a geological anomaly. Baraboo quartzite is sandstone that got baked into a hard rock in precambrian times.
