To learn Japanese, to make new Japanese friends, to set up a business (import/export, product design) related to Japan, and to travel more frequently to Japan (make it my second home country).
My friends would say that I am a gentle, kind, honest, open-minded person. Easy-going, always interested in learning new things, new people. Easy to get connected with, to make new friendship. That I can be serious, business minded, always looking for business opportunities, but also have a great sense of humor, do know how to enjoy life, and have fun.
Life is short. Live life to the fullest!
Anything that is worthwhile, and has quality and meaning needs 2 ingredients: time and patience. There are no short cuts in life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My Japanese friend Atsushi Futatsuya introduced me to this service.
I have no couchsurfing experience, but I am very excited to meet new people and make new friends this way ;-)
New innovations, technologies. Things that improve the quality of life, of communication, of connecting people around the world. But I also like traditions, cultures, and traditional arts and crafts made in the traditional ways.
Besides my work as an independent IT business analyst, I like to read books which stimulate creativity, innovation, and pro-activity. Hang out with friends, grab a drink, eat delicious foods and share life. Watch (all kinds of) movies. Sports, fitness and golf.
And after following a furniture making course, I started to design, and make some small wooden furnitures.
Furthermore, I love Japan, the culture, traditions, foods, arts and crafts. I travel regularly to Japan. So, I started learning the Japanese language.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Many years ago I traveled in the north of Thailand through the jungle to visit some local mountain villages, the way of life the village people have, so simple, and yet so fulfilling, the happiness of these people you can see on their faces really left me in awe. I've really enjoyed my stay there. In the mornings, the first things I could hear were the streaming water of the river, and the birds singing....
Recently, I've visited a few Japanese gardens of some famous temples in Kyoto. The beauty, the perfection, the tranquility I have experienced also left me in awe, knowing that most of the works were made diligently by hand. I really respect the way the Japanese defined 'quality'. In everything they do, they make it an art. The art of sushi making, the art of gardening, the art of noodles, the art of wagashi, and so on...
Teach, Learn, Share
I would like to learn and share life exeperience in general. Meet new people and make new friends from all over the world. And more specific, I want to learn/share business ideas with entrepreneurial people.
Furthermore, I want to learn the Japanese language, and Chinese (Mandarin). In exchange, I can help people who want to learn English.
