I'm a professional sailor, specialized in polar navigation. I used to work on expedition cruise ships as deck or engine officer in polar regions such as Antartica, Svalbard, Iceland or Greenland. I recently graduated my Captain Licence but I decided to stop working as seaman for a while to visit the world with the amazing Alice, my lovely girlfriend.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm using couch surfing to meet people around the world but also to try to find 2 places couch for Alice and I when we're traveling.

Music, Movies, and Books

I mostly listen french rap music in my earrings but i'm interested in many other style as reggae, rock and minimal electro music.

My favorite movies are the documentary ones. I particularly enjoy the COUSTEAU documentary about Ocean, wildlife and nature. I also enjoy a lot the true story movies.

About books, I prefer the expedition stories such as Jules Vernes but I'm also interested in sailing true stories such as the Eric Tabarly ones.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Recently (summer 2017) I've been sailing through the North West passage (from Greenland to Alaska - USA) on a 60ft sailing boat with the "Under the Pole" expedition : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MJQxTsFZnfc
We met very rich wildlife and amazing people such as the Inuits. We had crazy polar navigation between Icebergs or aurora borealis and unforgettable moments under the midnight sun.

I can teach : French culture, speaking and bakery but also maths, basics engineering and sailing bases.

I want to learn : Foreign cultures, food habits, langages, photography and whatever you've got to teach me !
